A series of Photographic Emulsion Transfers, that takes us through a nostalgic journey of beauty found from the laceings of a corset to the beauty of a 1950’s handbag.

The purpose of the Kre8hope pathways to inclusion art courses is to provide people with disabilities the opportunity to express themselves through the creation of art under the guidance of a professional tutor.

Beginners Clay - Evening classes with Helen Hughes
Starting up again for 2012 this workshop is $20 per class - pay as you come. Adult students will be guided through the basics of working with clay. From selecting clay right through to the firing process, this clay course will cover all the basics. For those starting from scratch to those who are wanting to develop their hands-on clay practice by working with a very experienced ceramic artist and tutor Helen Hughes.

Focus on the Figure, a drawing workshop with Mimi Herbert
This intensive workshop will focus on drawing the form and motion of the figure, considering drawing method, technique and composition.
The Quarry Arts Centre is delighted to host this workshop with international artist and tutor Mimi Herbert. With masses of professional tutoring experience and a structured teaching method this workshop is guaranteed to produce wonderful results which, most importantly, stay with all participants after the course is over.
